You can choose your own route, stop when you like, and travel as many times as you wish within the validity of this flexible pass - hop on and off where and when you wish. You can travel between the North and South Islands with ease as your pass includes travel on the Interislander ferries between Wellington and Picton.

From The Overlander train (Auckland, National park & Wellington) The TranzCoastal train (Picton to Kaikoura and Christchurch) to the award winning TranzAlpine train (Christchurch to Arthurs Pass and Greymouth), your train is comfortable, and relaxing. All Tranz Scenic trains include an open air viewing area.

All Tranz Scenic carriages have reclining seats with head rests, are carpeted, centrally heated and air conditioned, so you can sit back and enjoy the view from your panoramic window. All trains are licensed and include a buffet carriage where you can purchase a wide selection of light meals and snacks.

• All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST.
• Once issued the Scenic Rail Pass is non-refundable and cannot be transferred.
• When travelling on the Scenic Rail Pass, photographic identification MUST be produced for both train and ferry travel.
• Scenic Rail Pass is valid for travel only during the dates  it is issued for
• Pass prices are valid for travel up until 30 September 2007 or 30 September 2008 if purchased for travel after 01 October 2007.
• All travel with the Scenic Rail Pass is subject to the Conditions of Travel of the operators used.
• Excludes The Capital Connection service.
• Groups/Families can be booked on one Pass but must all travel together at all times.

• Reservations can be made up until 30 September 2007 or 30 September 2008 if purchased for travel after 01 October 2007
• Bookings for Interislander travel must be made 24 hours prior to scheduled departure time. You will be given an Interislander reference number which you must produce at the terminal on the day of travel
• Bookings for train travel are not necessary, however all travel and seating is subject to availability.
• If you want to make individual travel sector/s bookings for train and/or ferry travel, especially for the 7 Day Scenic Rail Pass, you can use the    Travel Booking Form.
